Right after my monthly appearance on The BBQ Central show this week, Greg had on Coy Christoffel from Pitts & Spitts. He's
been with the company for a long time, and recently became the new owner.
That's huge news for the US-made grill and smoker brand. I'm working out schedules to catch up with Coy, and will have an upcoming story about the transition.
ThermoWorks' Thermapen is pretty much synonymous with barbecue at this point. They're the go-to meat thermometer because of the speed, accuracy, and reliability. They've just announced that they're going to release a new version
that's lighter and faster than even the Thermapen ONE.
Current, the brand that keeps pushing the envelope on electric grills, has been named to Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies list. They have been innovating the electric grilling and pizza oven categories, so it's not surprising that they made it. It's just the latest in a growing list of accolades for the brand.
Wildfire is releasing a new luxury grill called Ember at the end of next month that
carries a price you don't usually see with luxury grills. They focused on designing it with just the features that people want, not unnecessary options. One area they got right are the grilling features. It has an infrared burner and ceramic briquettes to bring the flavor.
Napoleon has added stainless steel countertops to their Oasis line of outdoor modular kitchens. That's not the only news for Oasis, Napoleon also released an Oasis modular kitchen in the UK. It comes with a
700 Series 32-inch gas grill head and an infrared side burner.
Finally, RH Peterson has named TMG Sales as their exclusive sales representative for the appliance, and kitchen and bath channels in Southern California. They'll work with dealers in a variety of ways for the American Outdoor Grill, Fire Magic, and American Fyre Designs brands.
