I was on The BBQ Central Show this week where we talked about Spider Grills, the new recteq grills, and the overall state of the industry. It's always a fun and informative show, so be sure to check it out.
Keeping with charcoal kettle grills, Broil
King released a new one. It's a unique release from them because they are a go-to brand for premium gas grills. They did a great job with their kettle. It has some nice design elements to it and a full line of accessories to get even more out of it.
Pit Boss is bucking the trend of moving away from direct-to-consumer business. They have a new website that's powered by Shopify to bring consumers a better shopping experience, while also giving Pit Boss better data. It's part of
some other digital transformation activities they've been focused on.
W.C. Bradley Co., the ultimate parent company of Pit Boss, Charbroil, and other grill and lifestyle brands, appointed a new Chairman and CEO. That's big news for any company but especially for W.C. Bradley Co. They're a family company that's been around since 1885, so they're focused on building enduring brands and the long term.
Finally, Tractor Supply reported earnings this week. They're
seeing positive signs from their seasonal business, but their hope of increased tax returns translating to sales hasn't paid off.
