In connection with Royal Oak expanding their Greenville, TX fire log facility, they've just sold their facility in Birmingham, AL for $8.5 million. The production will be consolidated, with their Texas facility going to three shifts.
The hardware retail space continues to see pretty massive consolidation. The latest is Helpful Hardware acquired Jones Hometown Hardware in Jackson, GA, their 21st Ace
location. Helpful Hardware was purchased by private equity in 2019 and has been on a buying spree since then.
The Consumer Electronics Expo (CES) was in Las Vegas this week and Brisk It was their with their latest tech-focused cooking products. They plan to release a pellet and gas hybrid grill in 2026 and also an indoor cooking product that reminds me of a June oven. Both feature their latest AI tech.
