The impacts of tariffs are starting to hit the grill industry in various ways. Likely due to cost increases, Traeger is the first major grill brand that we’ve seen raise prices.

They increased prices by at least 10% on all the grills they offer. The increase equates to $100 on their less expensive grills all the way up to $500 on their top-of-the-line Timberline. They even raised the price of their Flatrock 2 Zone that they released at the beginning of the month.

Traeger reports earnings next week. While the financial impacts of the tariffs won’t have been realized in Q1, I’m sure there will be plenty of discussion around it.

Another story on the fallout from the tariffs is Solo Stove’s parent company, Solo Brands, had their stock suspended from trading on the stock exchange. The price per share fell below $0.10, which triggered the action. This could create more liquidity challenges for the already stressed company.

Blackstone has released a couple of new pizza ovens. As part of their E-Series, they launched an electric oven that’s unique because it features a rotating pizza stone. They also have a new Leggero pizza oven, which is their portable model. The new one adds some style upgrades to an already great oven.

Grilla Grills has refreshed their line-up of pellet grills. The 2.0 version of each model look largely the same but have a few new features. Most notably, they have the new Alpha Connect 2.0 touchscreen controller.

Finally, Big Green Egg is collaborating with ASW Distillery on a bourbon. It's not just branding either, an Egg is involved in the finishing process. They're going to have a release event in Atlanta on May 10th.
