Oklahoma Joe’s released new Tahoma grills this week that have some big feature upgrades from the previous model. The Tahoma is OKJ’s connected charcoal grill model where you can set the temperature like a pellet grill. The new model has an auto-ignition feature, so now you don’t have to mess with fire starters, just load it with charcoal and let the grill do the rest.

They also made it so you can choke off the fire when you’re done to save your unspent charcoal. Beyond that there is some other fine tuning with better temperature holding, and little design upgrades.

Charbroil released the Versa-Tile in the UK, which is different than any other product on the market. It has a griddle surface with a swappable circular section that can be swapped out for a grill, griddle, or a pizza oven. They made some smart design decisions to get the most out of each of the cooking options.

Gozney released a new portable pizza oven called Tread. Not only is it portable because of its lighter weight, but they made accessories for it to be easily useable anywhere. They offer a collapsible stand, a cutting board that mounts to the top, and a Mantel to give the oven a little more working space in the front. Plus, it’s a really good looking oven.

Fourshore Partners, an investment firm based in Coral Gables, FL has acquired the distributor Palm Coast Sales. Palm Coast distributes Big Green Egg, Green Mountain Grills, Napoleon, and some other brands in various parts of the Southeast. With the change in ownership, they also brought in a new CEO.

In other distribution news, the hardlines distributor Orgill has partnered with Big Green Egg. They're offering Big Green Egg's full line of grills and accessories to their retail customers. It's a match that makes alot of sense for both parties.

Gateway Drum Smokers has been acquired by Smokin Brothers. Gateway was created by Tim Scheer, who established the brands credibility by racking up a bunch of titles in competitive barbecue. Smokin Brothers is known for their US made pellet grills, so drum smokers are a new market segment for them.

Kamado Joe released the Konnected Joe, a wirelessly connected Kamado grill, in 2023. They've now brought that technology to another Kamado grill. They released the larger Big Joe connected grill, which has the same features in a bigger package.

Finally, Kingsford added a new large retail partner that did a huge buy-in ahead of the Super Bowl. They noted it in their earnings this week, and had some commentary around market share and consumer behavior.
