Oklahoma Joe's isn't the only grill company to come out with a new product called Bronco. Blackstone released the Bronco Series exclusively at Walmart. There are three different griddles in the line, but my favorite one is a 3-burner griddle and vertical pellet smoker combo. Both sides have the latest Blackstone technology for their respective cooking method.
Alton Brown has joined electric outdoor
cooking brand Current Backyard as a brand ambassador. He's endorsed their products and will be releasing guided recipes for the Current Backyard app. I've always been a big Good Eats fan, so I'm excited to see what the partnership brings.
Traeger released earnings this week and they continue to see growth in grill sales.
Unfortunately, it's the opposite story with accessories as MEATER continues to post sales declines. Beyond their update on what's working and what isn't, they gave their thoughts on where we're at with the grill market, and steps they've taken for potential tariffs.
In addition to reporting earnings, Traeger announced that their CFO is leaving the company through a planned transition. He's going to stick around through their Q1 filing to ensure a smooth hand-off. He's been
with Traeger for 11 years, so that's a major change for the brand.
Ninja has released an electric outdoor pizza oven, as they continue to invest in outdoor cooking products. For any bakers out there, it has a neat setting for proofing dough. That's something that we haven't seen on other pizza ovens.
The National Hardware Show is only weeks away. This year they've expanded their outdoor cooking offerings with Weber Grilling Classes. That's in addition to
usual NHS Backyard setup and the Cook Off, which are both productive and a great time.
We've partnered with them this year, so if you're thinking about going, the first 20 people to use the promo code COOKOUTNEWS will get free exhibit hall badges or a free spot in a Weber Grilling Class. Use the code before it's gone!
Cuisinart Outdoors has another innovative outdoor cooking product. It's a gas grill that has a lid that's shaped more like a
pizza oven dome, with a glass front that opens. In addition to grilling and cooking pizzas, they made it so you can use a griddle on the side burner for added cooking functionality.
Forbes had a great article this week on Ooni and how they are creating a
regenerative business. It's commendable what they're doing to minimize their impact.
Finally, Academy Sports has a new Chief Information Officer. He joined the company this month and has expansive job responsibilities across the growing company. He comes to Academy from the home goods retailer At Home.
