Quality charcoal is made to burn hot for a long time. That makes it great for grilling, but not so great when it unintentionally catches fire. That’s what happened at a Blues Hog storage facility this week. Thankfully, everyone is safe, and they don’t think there’s a danger to the surrounding area.
The Vista Outdoor sale process appears to be finally coming to a close, and Camp Chef is
going to have a new owner. It’s likely that Vista’s ammo division, The Kinetic Group, will be sold to CSG. Contingent on that closing, their outdoor products division, Revelyst (where Camp Chef sits), will be sold to investment firm SVP. The transaction is expected to close in January 2025.
There’s no article on it, but Monument Grills is developing a griddle. They sent an email to their current grill owners with a survey about what customers want in a griddle. I’ve
tested three gas grills from the brand and thought they offered good value. I’m excited to see what they come up with for a griddle.
Finally, The Home Depot released their annual Innovation Awards. There was one barbecue product that received an honorable mention. It’s the BBQ Daddy grill brush from Scrub Daddy. The brush uses a steel mesh covered foam head and steam to conveniently clean your cooking grates.
