California has banned the sale of single use propane tanks starting in 2028. These are the little 1 lb tanks that are commonly used to fuel camp stoves and portable grills. The driver behind the new law is the waste they create and the danger/cost of having to dispose of partially filled propane tanks.

Camp Chef’s parent company, Vista Outdoor, has once again pushed back their vote for their sale to CSG. It was supposed to happen yesterday, but it’s been rescheduled for October 9^th. This is the last time they’ll be able to push it back because their transaction agreement with CSG terminates on the 15^th. In the meantime, a large shareholder has come out once again against the sale.

Ooni has a big hire for their largest market. They announced Stephen Krauss is joining them as the President of North America. Previously he spent 5 years as the President of Americas for Breville, so he knows the landscape well.

Finally, Breeo has continued to expand their outdoor living offerings. They released a bench and a side table as part of the X Series line-up. These are made in Lancaster, PA, like their other products and are built from poly lumber and stainless steel hardware.
