Tariffs have been a topic of conversation lately for companies in the outdoor cooking space. On the manufacturer side both Traeger and YETI were asked about how they'll deal with tariffs, should they be imposed. They both had similar responses, they'll make supply chain changes where they can, and use pricing where needed. YETI started dealing with tariffs in 2018/2019, so they're already well on their way to implementing a strategy.

For Home Depot that reported earnings this week, it was more of the same in terms of pressures on the consumer. Outside of that, I found it interesting that with their online sales, they've built their distribution to where they can now reach 90% of the U.S. population with same or next-day shipping. Their CEO also had some good insight on the state of the home buying market.

Solo Stove released a new product this week that takes inspiration from TerraFlame, which they previously acquired. It's an indoor/outdoor tabletop fire pit called The Runner. It's runs on biofuel, so it gives a smokeless burn.

The Spokane Journal of Business had an interesting article about Fyr, which is a new grill company. It was founded by Spiceology co-founder, Pete Taylor, and well-known content creator, Derek Wolf. They plan to leverage their social media following to market their Santa Maria style grills.

Tefal UK is also partnering with a well-known chef on their new pizza oven. Later this month they have a co-branded Jamie Oliver pizza oven coming out. It features a rotating stone and will retail for £349.99.

Finally, premium outdoor cooking brand Wildfire Outdoor Living has appointed a new vice president. Jeremy Dispenza joins them from Middleby and will be tasked with growing the brand.
