You’ve probably never eaten barbecue and thought, “I wish this was caffeinated”, but if you have, 5-Hour ENERGY has a new product for you. In a creative BBQ marketing tie-in, they have a limited release, caffeinated BBQ sauce. Each serving has 60 mg of caffeine, which is about the same as drinking two cans of Coke.
Ooni also has a new consumable this week. In a partnership with bourbon
maker Four Roses, they released Bourbon Barrel Honey. Like you'd imagine, it’s honey that has been aged in Four Roses bourbon barrels, which sounds delicious. You can use it in mixed drinks or to drizzle on your next pizza.
Komodo Kamado released the Goldilocks Kamado this week. They sell some massive cookers, and at 38”, this one is sized just right between their current 32” and 42” Kamados. If you’re looking to buy their new grill, you’ll likely have to wait. While I saw
this grill advertised, the link to their website is broken, with no mention of the new grill anywhere, so stay tuned.
Vista Outdoor, the parent company of Camp Chef, received approval from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) this week to sell their Sporting Products division to a foreign buyer CSG. That was a big hurdle in their process to sell that business unit and take their outdoor brands division public. A day later though, they received
another offer from MNC Capital for more money. We’ll see if the same valuation and financing concerns remain with their updated offer. Vista delayed their shareholders meeting as a result of the new offer.
Finally, Kingsford has partnered with newly retired NFL player Jason Kelce. He joined fellow ex-NFL player, and member of the legendary 2001 Canes football team, Vince Wilfork in a new ad campaign. The two and will continue with advertising for the brand through
the summer.
