If you're going to be near Hartville, Ohio today (Saturday) head over to Hartville Hardware for their 10th annual GrillFest. There will be grilling demonstations, free samples, and a great line-up of BBQ celebrities including Greg Rempe, Diva Q, Mike Lang, Matt
Frampton, and Damian Buck.
Further south in Ohio and parts of West Virginia, they're facing burn bans. There are a long list of counties where bonfires are banned and grilling is restricted to electric or liquid gas fuel sources. If they persist this could be another headwind for fire pit season that's just starting.
Vista Outdoor has rejected the latest acquisition offer from MNC Capital and has recommended the CSG offer to its shareholders. While that was
expected, what's new is they said that a private equity firm may have interest in buying Revelyst, which is the half of the business that houses Camp Chef. A shareholder meeting regarding the sale is being held on the 27th.
One of my favorite accessories for the Solo Stove is the Surround. It goes around the fire pit to add some safety and bulk. Solo Stove released a new, smaller version called the Surround Lite. It's a more portable version, that still adds a
layer of protection.
Finally, Middleby Residential, which is the parent of Kamado Joe, Masterbuilt, and Char-Griller, announced a new President of Distribution for North America. It's a wider reaching role that oversees strategy, sales, marketing, distribution, and service.
