Meat delivery company ButcherBox released their 2nd annual Grill Index, which is a survey of American grilling habits. With the regional share disparity in grilling for breakfast, and the room for growth overall, griddle manufacturers should be encouraged by the numbers. With how easy griddles are to use, they’re also an antidote for low confidence in cooking on a grill.

Electric grill manufacturer Kenyon is releasing a new luxury, built-in electric grill. It runs off 240 volt and has two 1,500-watt cooking zones. My favorite part is that the lid is customizable with one option being black carbon fiber.

Grill manufacturer Permasteel celebrated their 20th anniversary. They manufacture grills and outdoor products for other brands, like Kenmore, and also under their own brand. They’re unique in the outdoor cooking space because they’re a women owned company.

The CMO of Solo Brands was on a panel this week where it was mentioned that Solo Stove is bringing Snoop Dogg back for another ad. The discussion was also interesting because it was contradictory from the messaging out of Solo Brands. Their CMO talked about the success of the campaign and its ROI, while Solo Brands had low revenue in Q4 and their CEO talked about how the campaign didn’t produce a financial return.

Vista Outdoor is back on with selling their Kinetic Group business to CSG. Their latest offer from JDH Capital was blocked by MNC Capital, who Vista has rejected multiple times. MNC’s ability to do that allegedly stems from a 2023 offer they put forth in partnership with JDH.

Finally, I reviewed the Blackstone Pizza Oven. It’s a solid product with tons of power and heat retention. There’s a little bit of a learning curve with the two pizza stone design, but once you get it down, you’re rewarded with an easy to use oven and lots of great pizza.
